Greetings from South Central LA believes that students and their families should have adequate, accessible, welcoming experiences in what are often historically Eurocentric Arts + Cultural centers. As part of the general programming, we offer seasonal field trips that are available and open to students ages 9+. During our field trips, we visit the various art + cultural centers that our city has to offer, and whenever possible collaborate with artists and other community partners during our trips. During each field trip students work on an art card that corresponds to the exhibitions we are viewing. for up to date information on our field trips please visit our social media page.

Dynamic Character Design for Entertainment

10:30AM – 1:30PM

Join ArtCenter College of Design Entertainment Design alumna, Victoria Imo for a visually immersive drawing workshop. Students will learn the basics of figure and gesture drawing along with shapes that help create a strong and recognizable character for feature film, animation, and television. Prior to the workshop, students will receive a campus tour of ArtCenter. Lunch will be provided.

This workshop is hosted by ArtCenter College of Design and made possible with support from the Alexander and Adelaide Hixon Fund.
