the programs at inner-city arts vary from performing art such as theater, music, dance to visual art which can include painting, animation or film.

Inner- city Arts believes that the arts and creativity are transformational. Inner-City Arts envisions a society that honors the human capacity for creativity, and values its cultivation in the education of young people. Their mission is to engage young people in the creative process in order to shape a society of creative, confident and collaborative individuals. 


Self Help Graphics & Art fosters the creation and advancement of new art works by Chicana/o and Latinx artists through experimental and innovative printmaking techniques and other visual art forms. They are an organization rooted in community.


calarts CAP SONY PROGRAM

The award-winning CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP), a co-curricular program of CalArts, offers free after-school and school-based arts programs for youth ages 4-18 in every discipline taught at the Institute.


SPARC’s intent is to examine what we choose to memorialize through public art, to devise and innovate excellent art pieces; and ultimately, to provide empowerment through participatory processes to residents and communities excluded from civic debate.


Classes are designed just for teens and present a wide variety of ways to approach art. Students focus on a variety of techniques and develop their own personal style.
